Hearts Ornament

So I found this pattern by here:


I originally wanted to make it for my daughter for Valentine's day, but this month go so crazy that I didn't get it finished until two weeks too late.  She got a balloon instead, one of the fancy metallic ones and she loved it. 

In any case, I decided to use mostly pink (it's her favorite color) and use one of the variegated threads for fun, just to see how it would work on the border - not too thrilled with it but it was an interesting experiment.  I also miscounted and had very little fabric at the border to stitch onto the felt, so I had to use glue instead - not happy about that either.  Still, it's a cute design and I'm sure El will like it, next year. 

Fabric: White 14 count Aida
Colors: Dk Pink (DMC 601), Lt Pink (DMC ???), Lt Green (DMC ???) and Variegated Pink (DMC 48)
