Description

So this is my third entry for :iconzimeta:'s Music Colab:
Music collab - 89/100 squares - need more! ^.^In this collaboration, we'll draw a pictures of our favorite music makers in square illustration. It can be anyone from a band, to a classical composer to a soundtrack specialist!
You have a lot of choices... The Beatles, Taylor Swift, Bach... It's up to you! When we're done, I'll make it into a snazzy timeline.
Our goal is to reach 100 squares, so don't hesitate to sign up!
OH! And I need all the help I can get promoting the collaboration, so if you want to, go ahead and tell your DA friends about it in your blog! Thanks in advance!
:bulletred: Your image must be in the shape of a square. Your final image size will be 500x500 pixels.
:bulletred:  The following information tags must be across the top of your square in the following order, left to right:
1.) Band Name/ Name
2.) Years Active (as a musician. This info can usually be found very easily at wikipedia. If your person is still making music, write a questionf mark or "present". For example: 1980 - ?? or 1980 - Present)
3.) A son

Though this one ended up taking longer than I initially thought it would, and I DID have to ask for a teensy-weensy bit of an extension on my deadline, I did make it in before Monday (barely!) :faint:

I wanted to do something a little different from the previous pics I did:

Also, I wanted a way to emphasize Beethoven's deafness (the gray outer world) and the fact that he STILL heard music in his head (the colors). When I got to the part with the colors, I got a bit stuck. My brilliant husband gave me the wonderful idea of making the notes with the colors, but having the colors expand like water rings from droplets in a pond. I loved the idea, but I confess I'd never done anything like it, so I took two extra days to muster up the courage to try it. In any case, those notes ARE the first nine notes of "Fur Elise". My husband not only gave me the idea to use them, but also to keep in the rainbow color scale. So, though I DID do all the manual work, my husband was definitely a "co-creator" of sorts as this would've never come to fruition without him! :blowkiss:

...and the scary part is, I'm considering doing ANOTHER one!

Mediums: brush pen, sharpie pen, artist pen, gel pen, graphite 4H, 2H, HB, 2B, 3B, 4B, and 5B.

Love the visualization of the deaf-ness. Excellent work
