HOLEY COW I FINISHED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Cheerleader

I can't believe it's done!  This past week I ended up working anywhere from 2-4 hours a day because I wanted to get it DONE!  (and, out of morbid curiosity, wanted to see how many days "longer" it would take me than :iconmagical525:  ;))  If anything, I'm was ready to do something new and told myself I would have it done by Sunday no matter what!

~I stitched it on 14 count Aida (Lite Oatmeal).
~The finished picture came out to be approximately 10" x 13"  (139 X 180 stitches)
~This was stitched using 2 threads over 1 "X".
~I used the exact colors listed for the project, 25 total.  (I actually had 50% of the colors and did not feel comfortable substituting those I didn't, so I went and got the rest of the exact colors asked for).
~Total days stitched - approximately 53 days (possibly less, as I know there were a few days I didn't even get to touch this project!)

Aaaaaaaaaaaand...I think that's it!

I enjoyed this contest immensely and hope to see who else finishes their ships!   I would totally do another contest like this, though I think I want to catch up on :iconmagical525:'s ornaments first!  ;)

But for tonight...to bed!

Me too!  There's so many things I wanted to do with it but then my daughter laid claim to it.  *sigh*  Those 5 year olds really take over all aspects of life, don't they? ;)

Good job!  That's way more stitching than I've managed lately.

It's close to the end of the year; I'm sure you're busy with work and kids!  Stitching time will come again!

Eh, true, but it's been more of an utter lack of desire, for a good year or more now.  :bored:

No I understand - I've hardly drawn this year and I know the urge to do so has dwindled considerably.  The kick start of cross stitch after nearly a year of nothing has been quite a surprise!  Maybe you're just needing a break or to something different.  I find I rotate between cross stitch, art, and crochet.  ;)

Yes, it doesn't help that most of the projects I've done recently have been monochromatic grad gifts. They're rather boring and tedious to work on. I've been reading a lot, and playing games on my tablet. I have a "words with friends" and "Yahtzee with buddies" addiction, ha-ha.

LOL!  That's how I was when I was playing the Disney game - total addiction!  That game going away was probably the best thing for my craftiness!  I still get addicted to things, but I try to temper them as much as possible, for life tends to get put on the sidelines (bills, cleaning, etc) - I'm STILL catching up on the house cleaning from the last life-slide!  ;)  Right now I'm a bit addicted to reading - I've been borrowing books like crazy from the library and taking full advantage of their "hold" policies.  I think, especially with the break from theater, I've been throwing myself into novels just so I can disappear from reality in a different way - and it's also a good way to practice different voices and accents when I'm reading alone!  ;)

I'm still mad about the Disney game. If I'd had two more weeks, I think I could have finished it!

Eh - I was annoyed they didn't put as much effort into the last two worlds - it really WAS a lot more fun and challenging in the beginning.  I wish I could find something similar but haven't yet.  Most Hidden Object games just look like someone's Hoarding Nightmare and it bugs me.
