Just had to complain
So a few months ago I walked into my craft room and could smell cat pee/spray. The room was stuffy so the smell was overpowering. I had opened the window and my husband and I went around smelling the carpet, doorway, etc. Nothing. A day or so later I found where it was coming from - my craft table. And, of course, the table is full of piles, but I found the main culprits: A cross stitch bag and a patchwork bag. Luckily there weren't any crafts in them but they were soaked and I had to wash them with Pet Spray. Though not soaked but my mother's homemade advent calendar was hit as well and, of course, that's not washable. I have never hated cats as much as I did that night (I'm a big cat lover). I spent several hours that night airing out the room and scrubbing those spots, but the room still retain a bit of the pee smell. I could never quite get rid of it. Last night I found out why... While going through an inbox of "Want to do's" I uncovered a small, plastic tub that I
How do you choose?
How do you choose? Cleaning vs Cross Stitch Cooking vs Crocheting Working vs Writing Mending vs Creating Family vs Art Needs vs Wants With no time for both, how do you choose? Sorry - just getting some crap out of my head. On the bright sight, I did act on some inspiration! :D
Happy New Year
I hope 2020 brings everyone a lot of happiness, peace, good challenges, and productivity in whatever form you create with.
I hope to keep up here and continue to create for myself and others. To not let life get in the way nor let everyone else always be "first". Family, friends, and work come first so much that this year I found I need to take back a bit of the time for myself. For my sanity and peace.
So I start the New Year finishing a large cross stitch project:
Large projects have been intimidating me of late so I'm doing this, not only for the gift exchange (read description) but for myself. I'm stepping up and being me. I'm tir
End of Feb Check In
Well another month has passed and quickly at that.
Work has been a new AND old experience. I know I walked into this position feeling like what I knew was going to be a rather slim overlap than what they expected. In the end, I'm finding that my previous experience has actually been a benefit, as the job duties had to be redefined due to the absence of my previous office. It's been interesting, and a definite eye opener. Still, there is a lot to learn and I'm certainly getting enough of a brain workout that I've been more tired at night than I'd like.
On the other hand, I was able to knock off at least 12 things off my craft table. The

And the greatest thing happened!!! This isn't a favour from me to anyone but one to me actually. It was raining like crazy when I went for groceries, and I was a lot quicker than expected so I had to wait half an hour for the bus. I barely sat down when a fellow UWO student saw my Western t-shirt and offered me a ride.
She said she knows what it's like to be a student (with a bunch of groceries) stuck waiting for the bus. (in bad weather, on a Sunday none the less --") So I got a ride home! Mind you, I was slightly terrified the whole way seeing as she was a complete stranger lol but it all worked out in the end, and I am still alive to tell the tale
