Description
Slowly but surely, I AM getting them done!
The April project was not a design I could think to supplement anywhere in particular - I mean, I didn't mentally get hit with a lightening bolt in how to incorporate it into something that would make a fitting gift for anyone I knew. While trying to figure this out, I was digging through all the crazy craft things I keep accumulating in my closet and found this kitchen towel I hadn't decorated yet. So, I decided to put these two together.
They do look nice, so long as you keep the towel french folded! The design was a wee bit smaller than I was thinking (honestly, I've always been horrible with stitching pattern measurments!), so if you open the whole towel, it...looks...so....TINY!!!! Still, it's cute and, like I said before, works fine when the towel is folded.
I thought about adding more borders or something, but then couldn't come up with anything that really screamed "YES!" at me, so I will leave it. Maybe, I'll make some potholders to go with it and save it for a gift exchange or something. Or, just use it myself. Who knows?
16 count White Aida Towel
~Stitch with 3 threads over 1 "X" and 2 threads for backstitching
(colors had no DMC numbers)
~Dark Red
~Dark Green
~Dark Yellow

This is awesome!
You could tale the borders along the length of the towel - splitting it into several sections |___|__|___|__|___| with smaller bits in between amd perhaps doing the pattern a couple of times in some of the spaces.
