Neglected Floss - April by jijikit Neglected Floss - April by jijikit
Slowly but surely, I AM getting them done!

The April project was not a design I could think to supplement anywhere in particular - I mean, I didn't mentally get hit with a lightening bolt in how to incorporate it into something that would make a fitting gift for anyone I knew.  While trying to figure this out, I was digging through all the crazy craft things I keep accumulating in my closet and found this kitchen towel I hadn't decorated yet.  So, I decided to put these two together.

They do look nice, so long as you keep the towel french folded!  :XD:  The design was a wee bit smaller than I was thinking (honestly, I've always been horrible with stitching pattern measurments!), so if you open the whole towel,!!!!  Still, it's cute and, like I said before, works fine when the towel is folded.

I thought about adding more borders or something, but then couldn't come up with anything that really screamed "YES!" at me, so I will leave it.  Maybe, I'll make some potholders to go with it and save it for a gift exchange or something.  Or, just use it myself.  Who knows?  :)

This is awesome! :D

You could tale the borders along the length of the towel - splitting it into several sections |___|__|___|__|___|  with smaller bits in between amd perhaps doing the pattern a couple of  times in some of the spaces.

That's an idea.  I've put it aside for now to work on other projects but if I feel up to it, I may pull it back out and add this concept.  Thanks!

Sometimes setting aside a project helps resolve what it wants you to do with it :) You are welcome!

That's really pretty! It would be nice as a set

Wouldn't it?  I need to learn how to make potholders though - never did that before!  ;)

I think it's adorable!! And I think the kitchen towel was a good idea :D Ah kitchen towels... they're such handy things. No pun intended either. XD I need to find the kind with buttons on them so I can secure them someplace. My kitties like to drag them into the floor from where I hang them.

You just need a higher spot then.  I promise you, even attaching towels do not hold up to a determined kitty!  ;)
